TwoHearts™ Dating - Data Deletion Policy

At TwoHearts™, we are committed to protecting your privacy and giving you full control over your data. This policy explains how you can permanently delete your account and what happens to your data after deletion, in accordance with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and applicable data protection laws.
1. Cancel Active Subscriptions First
Before deleting your account, please cancel any active subscriptions to avoid future charges. Account deletion does not automatically cancel your subscription.
For iOS (App Store):
Open the App Store → Tap your profile icon → Subscriptions
Locate TwoHearts™ and cancel the subscription
For Android (Google Play Store):
Open Google Play Store → Tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
Find and cancel TwoHearts™
You can also cancel subscriptions within the app by going to Menu → Manage Subscription → Cancel.
2. How to Delete Your Account
To delete your account from the TwoHearts™ App:
Open the App and navigate to Settings → Delete Account
Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your request
Alternatively, if you are unable to access the app:
Send an email from your registered email address to contact@twohearts.dating with the subject “Account Deletion Request”
Include your full name and any identifying information to verify your request
3. What Happens After Deletion
Upon successful deletion, your account will be deactivated immediately. Your data will then be handled according to the type and applicable retention policies:
Your profile and messaging data will be deleted within 12 months. This is retained temporarily to assist with fraud detection, user safety investigations, and audit verification.
Transaction records will be retained for 3 years. This is necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, and meeting tax obligations.
Financial data will be stored for 7 years, as required under financial laws and for audit purposes.
Anonymized or aggregated data, which cannot be used to identify you, may be retained indefinitely for internal analytics.
We are committed to taking all reasonable steps to erase or anonymize your personal data as required by applicable laws.
4. Important Notes
Uninstalling the app or deleting your account does not cancel your subscription.
Data needed for legal compliance (e.g., tax, fraud, or law enforcement purposes) may be retained even after deletion.
We will not retain any data beyond legal or operational necessity, and all personal data is handled in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022 (Sri Lanka), GDPR, and other relevant laws.
Data previously shared with third-party processors (such as payment platforms or analytics providers) may continue to be retained under their own policies. We encourage users to review third-party privacy policies.
If your account is involved in any ongoing investigation or legal process, data deletion may be temporarily delayed to comply with legal obligations.
Account deletion is permanent. Once deleted, your account and associated data cannot be recovered under any circumstances. If you return to TwoHearts™, you will need to register as a new user and create a new profile from scratch.
